May 13th's Express Entry draw under the Canadian Experience Class brings deeply discouraging news for many of us, I believe!
Only 500 invitations were issued, and with a record-high CRS cutoff score of 547, this round has left thousands of skilled individuals facing growing uncertainty, especially those whose work permits are approaching expiry. Many of them have built their lives here, working, contributing, and integrating fully into our communities. Their stories are marked by courage, perseverance, and a strong commitment to Canada.
✅ Some tips for candidates who still wish to stay in Canada permanently:
- Check if you qualify for priority Express Entry categories like healthcare, trades, STEM, education, or French-language proficiency;
- Explore Provincial Nominee Programs, which can add 600 CRS points;
- Consider alternative pathways like the #AtlanticImmigrationProgram,
#RuralCommunityImmigrationPilot Program, or #FrenchspeakingCommunityImmigrationPilot Program etc
- Stay proactive: review your CRS, update your profile, and seek provincial connections or job offers.
